Bavarian Order of Military Merit With Swords - Officer's Cross
Description
The Military Merit Order medals were among Bavaria’s highest awards for bravery, and ranked only below the Military Order of Max Joseph. These are the 2nd class version of the Militär-Verdienstorden which was bestowed on officers and higher-ranking officials. The swords denoted wartime issue.
The award is die struck and finished in enamel and gold plate, with a vertical pin on the reverse for fitting to the tunic. These are beautifully crafted medals with a high level of detail and crisp detailing.
