An interesting, detailed, early 19th century antique road strip map showing the route from Rainham to Sittingbourne, Kent via Newington, Chalkwell and Bapchild with other settlements between.


The map depicts a route in the form of 2 vertical strips each with a compass point showing orientation. Also shown are distances in miles from London Bridge together with individual buildings, turnpikes, inns etc.

Fine condition other than some very light spotting as seen, free of repairs or restoration, blank verso. 

Enhanced with hand colouring. 

An attractive map which would frame well.

Approx.  8" x 6" ( 200mm x 140mm ) map area only with good margins beyond.
