A rare classic original, enigmatic author, cover design, and tale.  1891 at title page; 1890 at copyright.  Profusely illustrated throughout with the whismical imagery of Clifton Johnson.  Brown cloth boards, dk. brown embossed cover titles and design, some shelf wear, rub, discoloration, spine wear, rub.  Cover and spine depict montage scenes of Little Giant Boab stepping from his time machine to club a wild boar while his raven soars from vortex above; Boab scales a castle wall at spine.  Pages generally good, discoloration to top 1/4" throughout; no writing. 

Frontispiece illustration with very good tissue guard.    Light brown floral patterned pastedown, front and back endpaper removed.  Small stick-pull, residue to front pastedown.  Bind intact; hinges reinforced.   Solid, intact rarity.
