ISA PENTIUM SBC SINGLE BOARD COMPUTER

These were manufactured in the UK to military specs by world leader in Single board computers, Microbus, as their model MAT 818.

They are a Socket 7 Intel Pentium 1 based system, Full length ISA single board computer, with an attached PCI type daughter board which supplies S3 Vision968 based graphics.

Supplied with a P133 (Intel A80502133-SY022/SSS) Processor fitted, we think they are possibly upgradable as high as a P200MMX. Memory is 72 Pin SIMM type, room for 4 modules to provide a maximum of 128Mb, they come fitted with 2x 16Mb modules which gives 32Mb.

Using Phoenix Bios, the ALI M1511, M1513 and M1512 chipset, the card has on board Symbios SCSI controller (50 pin IDC type connection) on board IDE and Floppy, Serial and we believe but cannot be sure, on board paralell interfaces.

Standard PS2 type keyboard and mouse connections.

The S3 Video card has SVGA type connection and a connection to go to a TFT screen controller (we are selling the TFT controller card and a Hitachi 10.2" TFT screen type TX26D86VC1CAC to match elsewhere in our ebay shop).

Over the years we have seen this exact card used in many embedded system environments, so they are a well used type; these particular ones have been stripped from military communications equipment that had never been used and were 'destroyed'. So although the cards are not new in the strictest sense, they are as new and in perfect working condition.

Useful for maintaining older embedded systems, would usually cost 3 or 4 times what we are asking for them.

Bios is currently set to SCSI, so to use the IDE controller it must be enabled in setup, also bear in mind that this generation of computers is 20+ years old and will not naturally look at large capacity IDE hard drives available today, we believe the largest is 8.4Gb.
