Excellent condition, fully serviced ~~
A stunning
antique French portico clock, beautifully modeled in a stunning variegated
specimen marble with salmon pink and silver grey veining. It is mounted with
finely finished ormolu that is in very good condition. The clock is formed as a
six-pillar portico with the movement mounted in a drum with the ormolu sunburst
pendulum swinging gently below. To the top is a marble urn.
The dial is
enamel on copper with delicate floral swags between the numbers. It is complete
with its original finely fretted gilt hands and convex glass.
The French
movement is of high quality and is by Societe Clusienne S.C.A.H.P. It is in
excellent clean and running condition having been overhauled and tested. It
runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video

The
condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean
and bright with hardly any wear or discoloration. The marble is very good with a good polish
and slight nibbles to the edges. The dial is excellent with no damage.
Societe
Clusienne S.C.A.H.P. Cluses mark on the movement backplate.
Complete
with a pendulum, bell, and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions
supplied if required.
