In order for a hagstone to be authentic, it must have a hole that goes through the entire rock that is in no way drilled. Considered extremely good luck to have one in your possession. It is said that you can hold the stone up to the sky and see through to another realm where fairies live. The hagstone part comes where ships used to tie them to the front of their ship to ward off witches!
