Pozzolana is a natural rock with a great capacity for absorbing water, which makes it an excellent substrate conditioner. Its high water retention capacity means that this material can be used as a excellent addition to gardens, especially those with trees or plants.

Red pozzolana is characterized by having been formed after a relatively rapid solidification process coupled with to a strong degassing, this causes the rock to present a glassy shine and irregular shapes with numerous vacuoles, resulting from the escape of volcanic gases through it.

An inert and aerated substrate is obtained that is very suitable for hydroponic crops.
