Released in North America shortly after Valentines Day 2016, is Burlap, another first for any gift card.  This Special Edition Starbucks Card is made of recycled burlap coffee bags. I'm sure the Roastery plants go through thousands of burlap bags in a very short time - and this is another example of re-using that material to make something new!  If you look closely, the background of this Card is the original Starbucks store in the Pike Place market in Seattle.  Something that's unique to this Card is that it doesn't have a magnetic strip on the back, but a QR type scan code. This is normally used on the mini Starbucks Cards. To date, we haven't seen it on a standard sized Card until this issue.  It was three (3) years ago that another first was made with a Starbucks Card. It was the "Woody" Card, made of birch wood. 

This card is brand new, never activated or registered and has its pin intact. It comes with no value and is primarily intended for collectors. It is bilingual (Eng/Fr) and can be used as normal in both Canada and the US. It will be mailed by regular letter mail, unfortunately no tracking.
