About the artist:

China-born Weiyi Fan (AKA XIAOFANX), the Founder of Anitya Fantôme (ANITYA FANTOME, LLC), an art based fashion brand based in Miami. Exclusively collaborate with Base Superstore and Waowig Studio in Miami and HOW Art Museum in Shanghai

Anitya Fantôme was an art brand started by artist XIAOFANX in 2016 that is based in Miami. The artistic style of the brand has many influences from urban street art to fashion to pop art. The brand collaborates with all different styles of art including graphic design, fine art, graffiti, illustration and music. Each piece speaks for itself with its flowing style and eccentric perspective on the world.

Anitya means Impermanence in Buddhism.

Fantôme means Fan-to-me.

These definitions are extremely significant because the art is very reflective of the brand name. Impermanence/Anitya is one of the three marks of existence in Buddhism and basically explains how no-one can exist forever and that nothing is permanent. In other words it is the undeniable and inescapable fact of human existence that nothing that belongs to this earth is ever free. This is expressed throughout his work with the idea of life and death as well as the cycle of life and the threats it contains from the world around it.

XIAOFANX has been involved in all aspects of art and creativity for the past five years, solo exhibitions, art fashion pop up from the US to China.

During Art Basel Miami 2017 season, XIAOFANX has presented his second solo show "Reborn" to take his fashion line Anitya Fantôme into another level. The concept of Anitya Fantôme is to provide customize and limited edition artistic clothing. Selected by 50 Best Menswear Shops in the US Base Superstore and developed collaboration project "Anitya Fantôme x Base" only available at the store in Wynwood Miami.
