The name "Blues Driver" was inspired by the inflection of blues music, which is the root of many guitarists. By evolving the overdrive circuit from the perspective of amp design, we have achieved a drive sound that is truly like that of a tube amp. The beautiful overtones and attack that resonate when picked sharply, as well as the overdriven sound to the light clean tone, can be controlled at your fingertips. The drive sound has a wide variable range, allowing for a wide range of sound makeup from clean boost to intense overdrive.

Amplifier-like Circuit Design

The BD-2 employs a multi-stage clipping circuit design used in tube amplifiers. The TONE knob is a passive circuit that allows adjustment of high harmonic content. Straightforward response similar to that of an amp

The BD-2 has an exquisite response to picking. It produces a dynamic, biting sound when picking hard, and delicate, beautiful overtones when picking weakly. The response to guitar volume is also natural: even with the GAIN turned up, a light clean sound can be obtained by turning down the guitar volume.

From crunch to distortion

The guitar produces a beautiful crunch sound with a low muddiness and a clear, contoured sound on chord strokes and arpeggios, and as the GAIN is increased, a good compression feeling is added, giving the guitar the feel of a vacuum tube amp itself. The Blues Driver is a full-range booster that can be used to push high-gain amps, and it can also be used as an overdrive for any style of music. The "M" is the same as the "M" in the "M" series.
