A popular use for 154CM is insurvival knives that are often exposed to harsh elements like salt water forextended periods. It has an exceptionally good balance between three enviableattributes which are toughness, hardness, and corrosion resistance.154CM is avery high carbon stainless steel with the addition of Molybdenum. It mostcertainly gives you a better edge retention than normal cutlery or stainlesssteels.
