The PRT08A is a reference CAT tube preamplifier SL-1, which is designed to be the most perfect tube preamplifier in the industry for its dynamic, accurate positioning and medium frequency mellow.
The CAT-SL1 design tube is not like other brands - many similar models; it is targeted to use the tube to meet the school requirements, the first stage uses the U-tube 12AU7, choose a relatively rich tube The input tube of the flavor; the second stage uses the high U tube 12AX7, which is the SRPP structure, taking the bandwidth and the buffer between the front and the back, and also preparing for the third level. The third stage is 6DJ8, which has a larger screen output current to push the power amplifier even better.
The PRT08A is designed to be faithful to the original SL1 amplifier circuit parameters, without any adjustments; our updated parts are in terms of power supply:
*The high-voltage power supply uses a regulated power supply, and the MOS tube is used as a voltage regulating tube to make it more electronically odor.
*The filament is divided into two sets of voltage regulators, which are powered by 12AU7, 12AX7 and 6.3V 6DJ8 (6922).
In addition, in the PRT08A, we added a 30-second delay-on output assembly to avoid reducing the "squeak" of the tube preamp before powering up.
