First Book

Title - Homeward The Heart

Publishing - The First Harlequin edition was published in as a paperback in 1965 as Harlequin Romance No. 925. This is one of the 1972 second Harlequin printings.

From the back cover - “Why had Jennifer’s father changed his name? Why, on his deathbed, had he asked to go to his old home in Ireland and seek his family’s forgiveness? Jennifer was determined to solve the mystery, so she set off for Derrylea – little realizing what a tragic story she was to uncover.”

Condition - The book is clean, complete and tightly bound. The cover is not noticeably faded and cover wear is limited to very mild edge wear. The spine edge is fully intact but slightly rolled forward. There are no markings in the book. Pages are very mildly age toned and supple. There are no torn, missing, loose, creased or marked pages. The book is in very good condition.

Second Book Title - The Way To The Wedding (Originally titled Nurse Harriet Comes Home)

Author - Joan Blair / Pages - 191

Publishing - The First Harlequin edition was published as a paperback in 1963 as Harlequin Romance No. 811 under the title Nurse Harriet Comes Home. For this 1973 second Harlequin edition, the title was changed from Nurse Harriet Comes Home to The Way To The Wedding. The book with a 60 cent cover price is still numbered as Harlequin Romance No. 811. This second harlequin edition is the first printings of Harlequin No. 811 with the new title.

From the back cover - “Harriet and James fell in love in the face of bitter opposition from both her parents and his. Nevertheless, they were determined to get married, and decided that in the circumstances their best solution was to elope. Then, just before the wedding, came news of an accident to Harriet’s mother – an accident which, it turned out, would mean that she would be permanently disabled. Clearly it was Harriet’s job, as a trained nurse, to look after her.”
