This is one beautiful Museum Quality Reproduction Tiffany Arrowroot Leaded Glass Lamp on a Library (or Onion) Bronze base. The lamp stands 26 inches tall to the top of the finial and stands on a four-legged bronze base with a 9 1/2 inch beaded platform with a really nice patina to the bronze featuring reddish and green highlights. The center tree type column has wire twisted into vine or root decoration. Check out the photos, really nice looking. The shade is 20 inches in diameter and 8 1/4 inches tall with a 3 1/2 inch aperture and 837 pieces of beautiful primarily Youghiogheny and Uroboros Glass. The lamp weighs about 15 pounds. To quote some descriptions from Dr. Neustadt's book, "The Lamps of Tiffany" "The roots, stripped to their essential shape, are strongly lined in shades of green shot through with white and yellow. But these roots-the source of tapioca-are not shown growing from the ground, although the adjacent brownish areas may well represent the soil. Furthermore, the roots are seen surrounded by the yellow-centered brilliant white flowers they helped to bring to bloom." ... "A blue-white sky in the top quarter of the shade adds another naturalistic note. Blue also serves to frame the aperture". There are 3 sockets with pull chains and an on/off switch in the cord so you can work the lamp however you wish to. This is one stricking lamp and it works perfectly. Original lamps bring $30K to $60K or more so here is your chance to have one for your home or office for a fraction of the cost. It is one great looking lamp. I have a second Arrowroot lamp listed in my store. They are almost a perfectly matched pair. If you are interested in the pair, let me know and I will see what we can work out.
