José Jacopi (1916-2006) was born in Barcelona, Spain and studied guitar making with his father, Gamaliel Jacopi, who was a master craftsman. With his father, he moved to San Fernando, Argentina in 1951 and opened a workshop in 1961.
It was favored by the master Maria Luisa Anide, and its performance greatly entertained the ears of fans of yesteryear.
Its distinctive tone eventually attracted the attention of bossa nova and jazz guitarists as well as classical, and it is now a standard brand in these genres.

Made in 1997, which arrived this time, there are cracks on the front plate and scratches on the strings, but it is still in good condition as a second-hand Yakopi.
Perhaps because the body is a little smaller, it has a cleaner sound than the ones from the 70's and 80's.
