This deck is built entirely around abusing the awesome Scavenge power of Varolz. We play a bunch of creatures that have abnormally high power compared to their mana cost, with the most notable one being Death's Shadow. Our next big focus is playing a ton of ways to put these creatures in the graveyard, other than just through the normal course of the game. This lets us throw tons of +1/+1 counters on Varolz (or any other creature with relevant keywords like Trample or lifelink) and quickly end the game. We have plenty of ways to give Varolz trample since he can regenerate to protect your investment and also kills quicker due to only needing 21 Commander damage.
