You are purchasing a Lucas 12V tach-drive generator date-coded 5/50 on the casing.

Lucas part # C39PV DA4 1, 22257A Made in England.

This is Lucas specified for the 1950 MG tourer (MGTD).

It can also be used on the MGTC and MGTF.

The rear plate is cast-iron and the front is aluminum. It has the steel-band cover for the

brush inspection.

It has 2 threaded terminal connectors.

The front pulley key-way slot has been re-machined and the key is in place (photo 7)

Photo 8 is the old key-way slot.

It has a new front ball bearing and brushes, the old parts are included. It was just tested

and works smoothly.

Long out of production - good spare to have. No core required.
