Vintage or Antique Pie / Cake Server in Silverplate and Jasperware Biscuit Ceramic Pistol Handle by Wedgwood

The server is very possibly made in collaboration with Philip Ashberry, who was also the man behind a series of other items with the same handle design, such as knives and carving sets. Though, I am not actually sure.

Some say the silverplated flat server part is Mappin and Webb, which it could be, judging by the quality of the intricate engraved design, and general quality as well - though, I find it odd that M&W would not mark the piece with their logo. However, the set of much less ornate salad servers with the same handles, was marked with Mappin & Webb's logo, so it is not unlikely.

The 'vintage or antique' statement means I am not sure, but I do feel quite confident it is from somewhere in the 1890s-1940s span.
