Item was owned and used by Lt. Col John C. Cavin of Melno, Georgia. Cavin went over to the ETO in October 1944 with the 48th Tank Battalion of the 14th Armored Division. He commanded the unit and was awarded two Silver Stars and two Bronze Stars. Cavin wrote their unit history titled "We Came to Fight".

Original Early WW2  Mackinaw Overcoat  Brought Back by Lt Col John C Cavin. Coat shows minor signs of wear and tear, but does not have any major damage. There is a small hole in one of the front pockets and a small spot on the waist belt. Coat has all of its buttons and original tag can still be seen on the inside liner.
