Mario Tozzi (Fossombrone, October 30, 1895 - Saint-Jean-du-Gard, September 8, 1979) was an Italian painter.

 

Mario Tozzi's relationship with the town of Suna is very intense: Miss. Prescott, a friend of the family, gave him the first box of colors, the painter Alfonso Muzii taught him to paint, the surrounding environment gave him countless ideas for his works. Around the 20's he settles in Paris. Here he exhibits al Salon des Artistes Indépendantes, to the Salon d'Automne and al Salon des Tuileries where it is noticed by the critics. Also in Paris he met the other Italian avant-garde paintersIn 1926 he exhibited at the first Novecento exhibition. Found the Groupe des Sept (Group of Seven, also known as Les Italiens de Paris) with campigli, De Chirico, De Pisis and Severini.
