Visible Magic
by Verrall Wass

A variety of stunning, visual magic is presented in this collection.

While originally written during WWII, the various miracles described can be resurrected with new color schemes and patter to make them particularly adaptable to corporate and trade show audiences.

Plus, only in this edition, a pair of Mr. Wass’ essays on the subject of performing and routining magic help make this an even better value and a worthy addition to any conjuror’s library.

The tricks include:
  • A visible silk color-change;
  • A four-ace trick in which the indifferent cards visibly change to aces;
  • The transformation of a box of tricks into a small doll's house;
  • A color-changing bouquet;
  • A card target in which a selected card and a silk of a color previously selected appear;
  • A quaint comedy number in which a nightcap and a candle appear and disappear alternately;
  • A vase trick wherein a flower bush grows, a further production is made, and ultimately the vase vanishes;
  • The production of a rabbit hutch containing a live rabbit;
  • And an excellent combination production of wine and silks from clear glass accessories.
Until now, this has been a hard-to-find title, as it was never reissued once it went out of print.

Well-illustrated by Francis B. Martineau.

Reviews from the magic press:

"Frankly, I think Visible Magic is one of the best books on mechanical magic, even though small in size, that I've seen since New and Original Magic by Edward M. Massey. (Dariel Fitzkee)

"The author, Verrall Wass, stresses his penchant for tricks that do not work under cover [i.e., the magic is visual]. Both useful and amusing."  (George Johnson)
