Original 1950's Party/Cocktail Dress featuring a fitted bodice, sleeveless with a boat neckline and nipped in waist with a gorgeous large feature bow right across the front,  the skirt has large pleats and is very full with a petticoat underneath for additional structure,  the colours are just stunning, a mix of deep green,  aubergine and rust producing a lovely floral design. The material is a thick taffeta which doesn't seem to crease. This dress has only ever been worn twice, by me , unfortunately I did manage to make a small tear in the bottom of the petticoat, which I have now sewn together, as shown in last photo.   I bought it as a dead stock item which had never been sold, it still had its original shop  labels. It is a UK size  4 -6. Measurements are bust 34 inches, waist 22 inches, hips free, length from waist to hem is 25 .5 inches. I am a UK size 6  my measurements are 32-24-36 and and although the waist is small, it fits me  fine. Made by rare designer Carnegie. It is in otherwise great vintage condition. On the photo of the back of the dress i can not do up the zip because my manaquin has a bigger waist. I originally paid £160 for this gorgeous dress. Please feel free to ask any questions.
