A nice example of a

World War Two

German Trench Art

in the shape of a matching pair of brass candlesticks

fashioned, after

D-Day 6th June 1944,

from a pair of

Wehrmacht Flak-Vierling 37-38

20mm brass cases.

Found in a small Brocante

in the Bayeux region of Normandy

and each measuring approx 5.5" high,

they are a superb surviving item of

WW-II German Trench Art

from the heavy fighting in northern France following the

Normandy Invasion of 1944.
