Radiator, engine cooling fits VOLVO S60 I 2.0-3.0 03.1997-04.2010

Product description

  • The radiator is a network of long, repeatedly wrapped channels through which the coolant flows, encased in very dense, thin metal fins. They allow you to quickly dissipate heat from the engine and allow air to flow, which significantly increases cooling efficiency while driving. It is an important element of the engine responsible for dissipating the huge amount of heat generated during its operation. To make this possible, there are coolant channels in the engine connected to the radiator by metal and rubber hoses. This system also includes the coolant pump, expansion tank and heater.
  • The radiator is damaged or worn out as a result of scaling in the channels, which reduces or even stops the flow of liquid, damage to the cooling liquid channels leading to leakage or restriction of flow, and damage to the fins, as a result of which the air ceases to effectively absorb heat.
  • A faulty radiator means a decrease in the efficiency of the cooling system, and thus engine overheating and its serious damage. An increase in the temperature of the coolant visible on the gauges or dashboard lights, boiling of the coolant manifested by thick steam coming out of the engine compartment or a coolant leak under the vehicle are standard symptoms of a radiator failure. A defective cooler should be replaced immediately to avoid more serious damage.
