RARE Corning Ware A-1 1/2-B Spice of Life 1.5 Qt Casserole w/ bottom stamp + #9

This eBay listing is for a RARE find...it's an early release of the Corning Ware 1 1/2 quart covered casserole dish in the Spice of Life pattern, which is also called the French Spice pattern as well because of the working on the front.   Based on some quick research, this has the early stamp on the bottom and NOT under the handle where they were made later in the production run.   Based on the bottom stamp, this was likely made between 1969-1972 when the bottom stamp  "For Range and Microwave" by the manufacturer was added and before this pattern became popular.   The vast majority of the other pieces in this pattern don't have the bottom stamp and have the standard stamp located under the handles for editions created in the 1980's and 1990's.   There is also a number 9 on the front and back as well (it was very hard to try to photograph with the bright lights on my photo desk for some reason).   I wasn't able to figure out what the 9 on the front was for and only able to find 1 other piece that has a number on the front, thus adding to the value.

This, along with the other pieces in the same pattern, comes from my Aunt's estate.   I'll have a number of other pieces on Ebay at this time as well in the same Spice of Life / French Spice pattern.

The overall condition is very good with normal wear showing on the bottom.   The inside is nice and clean!!   No chips or cracks found.   The lid has a few rough spots from small chips/flea bites from use.   It has the codes A7C and 31.
