This is a Rosenthal-Continental, Royal, round covered vegetable dish.  According to Replacements.com, it is Form E, Gray & Gold Leaves and was produced a between 1952 - 1961.  It was produced in Germany.  It measures approximately 8 1/2 inches across (without the handles), 3 inches tall.  The lid can be placed handle down to make a pedestal dish, and it measures approximately 7 3/4 inches across and 1 1/2 inches tall.  This is an absolutely gorgeous piece with no chips, cracks, or crazing.  It appears to show very little wear.
