BEAUTIFUL SET of 2 JAPANESE PORCELAIN FUKAGAWA ARITA IMARI VASES

Listed is a pair of signed vintage Japanese Porcelain Fukagawa Arita vases in Imari colors in excellent condition with no defects noted. Each is approximately 8"H x 8"W, mouth opening 4". Each vase has beautiful gilt detail over two blossoming trees with entwining blue branches. Large, round orange-red and gold blossoms with small round buds of gold, blue and orange-red abound with green and blue lower leaves. The charm of the pottery of Fukagawa porcelain is in coloring of blue on the almost transparent white porcelain, which was made possible by high temperature baking. This blue color is so unique that it is called "Fukagawa blue". On the bottom of each vase is the trademark of Fukagawa porcelain, Mt. Fuji is painted, and "Fukagawa-sei (Made in Fukagawa)" is written.
