Inspired by the historic Newburyport area of Massachusetts, Towle Old Colonial is a gorgeous sterling flatware pattern featuring a glossy finish accented with beads and a pointed tip. The design magnificence doesn't stop there, however, as the handles also showcase a scroll design enhanced by delicate piercing.

Towle Silversmiths was originally founded in 1857 as Towle & Jones by Anthony Francis Towle and William P. Jones, two apprentices to the Moulton family of silversmiths. In 1873 it became A.F. Towle & Son, and then in 1882, Anthony Francis Towle, while still owning A.F. Towle & Son, established the Towle Manufacturing Co. In 1890, the company adopted the trademark of a large script "T" enclosing a lion
