Up for sale is an Antique Hand Painted Lacquerware Pencil Box made in Japan. Circa 1890s-1920s.
The box featured a gorgeous dark red color with hand painted Crane with Japanese Maple tree on the lid with flowers on the sides and a nice lacquered finish. The base is marked "JAPAN"
There is some wear, scratches, abrasions and some chipping to the paint/lacquer as seen in the photos. Otherwise the box is in good operating condition and still displays beautifully.
