Actor Brenton Thwaites is NIGHTWING in the HBO Max superhero series TITANS, and those following the show know that the series' inciting event occurred only due to the fact that its main protagonist, DICK GRAYSON, was a Police Officer. Much for the intel it provided him than being a source of employment, Dick Grayson kept abreast of the criminal element thanks to his role as OFFICER GRAYSON; without it, he might never have met RAVEN and the TITANS may never have come (back) together.
While Nightwing's debut in the upcoming cinematic DC Universe is all-but-guaranteed, whether or not Dick Grayson will spend his days doing Police work is anybody's guess. Titans has maintained a strong fan-base during its four-season run, and the man calling the shots -- James Gunn -- may very well opt to keep the character more familiar than not.
