Instead of using the full guitar rigs used by guitarists in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, what you hear in music these days is the ability to utilize minimal systems to achieve a great sound.

Ampster is a model that has been introduced for this new generation of guitarists.

Ampster is an amp/speaker simulator and DI that can complement or replace your current amp, and is a tube-driven, fully analog unit with the same controls as your amp. It responds to your playing in the same way as a full-size amp, allowing you to create sounds with the feel of an amp.

Like a guitar amp, it features standard EQ (Bass/Middle/Treble), pre and post volume/gain controls (Master & Gain), and Presence control, all housed in a rugged metal box.

A cabinet-switching footswitch switches between two cabinet simulations (2x12 open cabinet/4x12 closed-back cabinet).

The cabinet simulation status is indicated by the color of the LED indicator (LED flashes when muted).

The Link jack on the rear panel provides a direct output of the buffered guitar input signal, which can be sent to a guitar amplifier. It can be used for monitoring, or mixed with the signal from the balanced DI output to create a sound.

The Send/Return jack can be used in the same way as a guitar amp's effects loop, making it ideal for use with spatial effects.

The low end can also be adjusted with the three-position Voicing switch.

The Remote jack, which allows you to switch between cabinet simulation types with an external footswitch, is useful for switchers with footswitch control, such as Octaswitch "The Strip".
