"Brig. General Nathan B. Forrest
Shot Gardner Bullet from Forrest's Confederate Troops at the Battle of Parker's Cross Roads.
Brig. Gen. Nathan B. Forrest rode into battle at Parker's Cross Roads after disrupting the Union Armies advance by destroying railroad supply lines in Kentucky and Tennessee. The Union Brigades of Col Dunham and Fuller came in contact with Forrest at Parker's Cross roads while trying to cut him off from crossing the Tennessee River. At one point of the battle Forrest's mounted and dismounted troops were being attacked from the front and the rear when Forrest responded by ordering: "Charge 'em both ways." repulsing both attacks of the Union troops resulting in a Confederate Victory."
