Antique Beaded Evening Bag/Purse


Offered is an unusually shaped antique seed pearl and glass beaded evening bag, circa 1930, hand made in Czechoslovakia. It is is uncommonly shaped, like a scalloped semi circle. Carefully placed beads form the delicate tracery of a tree motif; tubular glass bugle beads sparkle when they catch the light.

The bag is lined with ivory fabric, with original label intact and and original mirror in place in its pocket.  Closes with a well-working zipper. The handles are large enough to slip over your fingers, so it can be held comfortably while dancing.

An exquisite example of the Art Deco era, when elegant design and fine workmanship were admired as art forms.
