** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.**
WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels= Pretty Good (A--), Very Good Condition (A-) / Near Excellent (A/A-), Excellent (A). Grade B levels= Driver grade -- good/presentable shape (B+, B++), average condition/fair condition (B). The B-Grades will have more visible damage.
ORIGINAL YEAR OF USE: 1972-1973 Eldorado (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD rims). This Wheel Cover is from a 1973 Eldorado - it has the closed rear slot at the base of the horizontal vanes.
ITEM CONDITION: This auction is for a single (ONE) wheel cover in Grade "A" condition, per the ranking scale listed above. This quality range is considered "EXCELLENT".
The good thing about EXCELLENT CONDITION wheel covers is that there isn't much bad to say, since they are true survivors. The shiny outer rim is in Excellent Condition, with NO hammer dings. NO rash scratches on the outer rim. NONE of the spokes/vanes are damaged or missing...they are all nice and straight. The Center Face is Excellent....Very Shiny, free of typical damage (there is a faint stone ding over the large embossed emblem). The shiny Crown Edge - has no major unsightly curb hits, rash or dents - just a few light normal wear/tear use scratches. No stone dings on the crown side, that's rare. Even the black painted areas defy age and look great! Overall it has light wear and tear at the most for it's 50+ years of age. It's a rare survivor of time from a car that is infamous for eating wheel covers.
The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc..... A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well.
Keep your expectations realistic, this is a 50+ year old wheel cover with light use characteristics.

NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1967-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day.
