In Greek mythology, Erato is one of the nine Muses,
daughter of Mnemosyne and Zeus. Patroness of lyric and erotic poetry,
it is represented, since the Renaissance, crowned with roses and myrtles,
and carrying a lyre in his hand, or a small antique zither,
a musical instrument often associated with Apollo.
Lucio Fontana, born February 19, 1899 in Rosario, province of Santa Fe,
Argentina and died on September 7, 1968 in Comabbio, near Varese in Italy,
is an Argentinian painter and sculptor,
founder of the spatialist movement associated with informal art.
