Daum Frères, French, late 19th-20th century - The Daum brothers, Auguste and Antonin, started their famous glass works circa 1880. They starting with enameled and engraved "Art Nouveau" style vases, they moved on to become one of the major forces in the Art Nouveau movement. The firm has continued to produce beautiful pate-de-verre glass items throughout the 20th century works normally signed Daum Nancy.
