MARILYN MONROE - BORN NORMA JEANE MORTENSON - June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962 was an American actress and model. Famous for playing comedic characters, she became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and was representative of the era's attitudes towards sexuality. Although she was a top-billed actress for only a decade, her films grossed $200 million by the time of her unexpected death in 1962. Marilyn continues to be considered a major pop culture idol and is ranked #1 as the world's most famous celebrity icon.

* PHOTOGRAPHER INFORMATION: ANTHONY BEAUCHAMP - 1918 - August 18, 1957 - Anthony's father was Ernest George Entwistle, who established an art school in London & his mother Florence Vivienne Mellish started a career as photographer in 1934. Anthony's big break was photographing Vivien Leigh whose photo became world famous & his London photography studio became a huge success. In 1949, Anthony married Sarah Churchill, the actress daughter of Sir Winston Churchill, Britain’s Prime Minister. Anthony became one of the most sought after portraitists of the post war age. Photographing celebrities like: Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn, Leslie Caron, Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor, First Lady Margaret Truman, Marilyn Monroe & many more. He committed suicide taking a barbiturate overdose on August 18, 1957.
