Antique Late 19th Century French Hand Painted Cartouche/insert salvaged from an old gold ring that had a damaged shank and was scrapped.
Features as a traditional portrait miniature featuring the image of a lady wearing robes holding a Dove in her hand (likely religious connotations).
The Cartouche is in good condition for age and measures approximately 1.7 cm x 1.3 cm x 2.5 mm in dimension.
Will serve well for restoration purposes or otherwise.
