Carl Martin is a long-established Danish brand of analog pedal effects. Many European professionals are their favorite users, and the brand is also well received by Japanese guitarists who are particular about their sound. Among the many models in the lineup, three models have been added to the S (=Single) Series, a compact renewal based on the reasonably priced Vintage Series that has been well received. The S series is more compact and easier to place on a pedalboard by changing the specifications from the former Vintage series, which could also be powered by batteries, to AC adapter only. The anodized (anodized) top panel gives it a distinctive look and shape. The price is also more reasonable. The three new models are the Compressor/Limiter, the Purple Moon vibrato/fuzz unit, and the PANAMA overdrive.

The Compressor/Limiter, introduced in the S Series, is the successor to the highly acclaimed Compressor/Limiter pedals in the Pro Series.

To make it more user-friendly, the threshold and response settings are fixed at the factory. It has simple specifications with only compression and level controls. In this sleek design, the same functionality, sonic clarity, quietness, and performance of the best studio compressors/limiters are concentrated.

Purple Moon Key Features and Specifications

Purple Moon is a vibrato/fuzz unit pedal developed to faithfully reproduce the sounds of rock heroes from the 60s and 70s.

The basic vibrato unit can be added with a fuzz effect that can be adjusted with a mini-knob. This pedal truly delivers the sound of the creative guitarists of the 60's.

Speed knob: Sets the speed of the vibrato effect.

Depth knob: Sets the depth of the vibrato effect.

Level knob: Sets the volume of the effect signal.

Fuzz knob: Adjusts fuzz distortion.

Main features and specifications of Panama

A new addition to the S Series, the Panama is an overdrive pedal that recreates the vintage overdrive of the 80s.

In addition to gain, level, and tone, it features a damping knob.

By increasing the damping, the distortion sound becomes more aggressive. Conversely, decreasing the damping produces a deeper distortion with more bass dynamics and a thicker sound.

Gain knob: Sets the amount of overdrive, fully left for crunch, fully right for fat overdrive.

Tone knob: Sets the sound quality of the overdrive.

Level knob: Sets the volume of the effect signal.

Damping knob: Sets the character of the overdrive effect
