Publishing – The book was copyrighted by the author in 1948 and first published in hardcover in 1948 by Dodd, Mead. The first paperback edition was by Pocket Books in 1950 as Pocket Book No. 659. This is one of the First Printings.

Condition - The book is clean, complete and tightly bound. The covers have mild edge wear and light scuffing. The spine edge has edge wear and is chipped at the very extremes. There are no markings in the book. Pages are moderately age toned. There are no missing, loose, creased or marked pages. The book is in very good condition.
