Black rubber washer for stone hot water bottles.
Fits stone hot water bottles with a flat surface on the bottle and stopper for this washer to "seat" on.
There are many of these old stone or salt glazed hot water bottles still in existence,and with the help of this washer they can be successfully used again.
Always check for a good seal and no leaks before using,- not all old bottles will seal.
The hole in the centre of the washer is 19mm = 3/4" diameter (check this is the right size for your stopper) ,about 3.5mm thick, and can be a tight fit on the stopper so needs running around or levering over the thread. (Could be warmed to soften).
(Does not fit Radio brand bottle.)
(Does not fit a Langley Ware stone "pig" bottle.)
(I am told by a customer that the washer would not seal a Pearsons of Chesterfield bottle, which he said requires a thicker washer.)
Please see the photographs and dimensions which clearly show and state the size of the washer,this is the size which will be sent to you,it is no good saying after ordering that you needed a different size or thickness washer to the one I have described and supplied.
The washer also fits rubber hot water bottle with the type of stopper which has the washer at the top of the thread on the stopper,not at the bottom- see last photo.
