This lovely sack dates c 1900 or a bit older ~ This lovely pillow sack is 100% hand-woven and comes from Eastern Europe and dates around the turn of the century. These lovely textiles are found today in dowry chests, having been kept safe for many years~*~ This pillow sack is woven from cotton and a natural thick hemp weft weave, with beautiful decorative bands.
It is heavy weight, with gorgeous twill weave. This body of this stunning textile is a warm, pale natural tone. The bottom of this sack is a GORGEOUS hand woven folk art pattern ~ It's LOVELY ~This sack would make a stunning pillow just by simply stuffing! ~*~ The fabric is ideal too for upholstery etc.
MEASUREMENTS: This sack measures approximately 31.5 inches long by 20 inches wide at the top ~ ( and has 2 sides so really twice as long if opened out).
CONDITION ~ Freshly laundered and ready to use!
There are small stains and some discoloration. Please refer to pictures for more accurate depiction, as they're part of my description.
