Immediately after the end of the war of 1946, the factory began to produce mechanical wristwatches, which became its main product. In 1949, the serial production of men's wrist
watches K-26 "Pobeda", wall ship clocks with a luminous dial, clocks for cars "ZiM", "Volga", "Pobeda", wall and street industrial clocks began. In July 1950, the plant started building its own production buildings.
In 1952, the production of "Kama" watches with a shockproof device and a dust and moisture resistant case began. At the same time, watch instruments were produced for various industries.
In 1952, at the international exhibition in Milan, Chistopol watches received wide recognition and popularity for the first time.
In 1957 the production of precision watches K-2809 "Vostok", "Mir", "Volna", "Saturn", "Kosmos" with lateral and central seconds hands, a lens and an anti-shock device was mastered.
In 1962, the Vostok precision watch was awarded a large gold medal at the Leipzig International Exhibition.
Since 1965, ChChZ has become the official supplier of watches for the USSR Ministry of Defense. At this time, the famous "Komandirskie" watches were created, characterized by increased durability, with a waterproof case. The experience of developing these watches made it possible in 1967 to release the Amphibia watch with increased water resistance - 200 meters, as well as an option for military divers and scuba divers “NVCh-30” with water resistance up to 300 m.
Since 1969, all the wrist watches of the plant have been produced under a single brand name "Vostok", and the enterprise became known as "Chistopol Watch Factory" Vostok ".
The success in the professional watch market determined the course of development for the following years - the stake was made on mechanical watches that accurately read the time at any temperature, in any environment, withstand significant shocks and overloads.
In 1972, the production of men's wristwatches of a new 24 caliber with a numeric calendar, a double calendar, and self-winding was launched. The watches are exported to 54 countries of the world.
In 1976, during a visit to the plant, cosmonaut Georgy Grechko thanked the watchmakers for the production of high-quality products and presented the Chistopol residents with the Vostok watch that had been in space.
