A smashing example of a

WW-II British Home Front

Sweetheart Bar Brooch

for the loved one of a member of the

Royal Corps of Signals

1939-45

Formed in 1920  as the Corps of Signals

with the 'Royal' being confirmed by the King

shortly thereafter,

the Signals served in all theatres of World War Two,

including

France, Norway, The Western Desert, Italy & North-West Europe.

By 1945 the Corps had expanded

to some 8,519 officers & over 142,000 enlisted men...

having lost some 4,362 men killed in action by war's end.

Composed of a small coloured enamelled Signals cap badge,

mounted on an approx 2" wide pin-back

this is another attractive wee WW-II British Sweetheart Brooch

in a very good, issued, condition.
