This mushroom is made from local wood called Jempinis wood. The base of this statue is made of Parasite wood. Parasitic wood is a unique type of wood called rare wood.
Parasitic wood is formed as a defense mechanism by the host tree overgrown with parasites. This defense grows into a unique wood called parasitic wood. Although this wood was only used as firewood then, our skilled Balinese artists, who are experienced, create beautiful art from it.
