La Seynie Limoges P&P France Porcelain Covered Casserole with Rare Arcus Vir Mark.

This elegantly detailed gold trimmed 8 inch diameter covered casserole was manufactured at the Limoges factory La Seynie between 1903 and 1917. It was decorated by the noted Paroutaud Freres (P&P) Pierre and Paul, and features the green backstamp associated with this era of Limoges production. Also found on the base is the rarely seen Arcus Vir France stamp featuring a “Bowman” in profile.

The porcelain casserole measures 9.5 inches across the handles and has a 7.5 inch diameter lid. The piece is in very good condition with a small chip below the lids rim. (See photo) Otherwise no cracks or repairs.
