Vintage 1962 Gibson SG Special!

1st model year and super vintage player with huge tone and mojo worthy of any stage or studio. Refinished to original white with exception of headstock to preserve original finish.  Overall excellent condition for an original '62.  Headstock in overall good condition for age with 2 small cosmetic issues in the lower area of the Gibson logo and one just above nut that were left to preserve original black finish and logo.  Machine heads replaced with chrome Grovers, a change made by many professional players as the stock Gibson tuners of early SGs never stayed in tune. Neck is in great condition, straight with some light scalloping on lower register as expected for the age.  Recent refret and setup by a well respected Denver luthier with very little playing or wear since. Finish is surprisingly fast!  Neck binding has some small black side dots missing as seen in photos however can be corrected easily.  Original 1962 Gibson P90 pickups sound super creamy, particularly through a tube amp.  Hand wired SG  harness with paper in oil caps, CTS 500k pots, Pure Tone input jack and Switchcraft pickup selector. Original white switch tip and black switch guard still show "Rhythm / Treble" imprint though worn. Classic SG gold hat knobs in EC. Stock bridge replaced by expensive microtuner "Badass" style bridge, a common change on SGs for pro players for fine tuning and added sustain.

Non-original plush lined case included.  Guitar will be packed very well and shipped with insurance to cover the purchase price.
