Brake cables front or rear (these do not come with the black shied its just the cable as this is the part that usually needs replacing). to see if you need to replace this part, disconnect the cable from the calliper and pull the lever, if it does not move easily then the cable may be rusted of damaged.
Brake pads - sintered (gold) pads, these last longer than the originals as are made from a better material.
