The Sad Hour Clock casts!⌛️

In the victorian Era, these clocks would have been attached to a casket during a funeral to show the exact time of death.

These follow the victorian superstition where it was believed that time stood still at the moment of passing, and a new existence would begin without time. If the clock was not stopped, the spirit of the deceased would remain to haunt the living. Also, if time was allowed to continue, bad luck would befall all who remained in the home.

Each cast features posable spade clock hands to honor the original design as well as darkened antique patina, perfect to display on a shelf or to hang on the wall (or casket).
