Vintage Sheridan Silver Co. Silverplate Tea Set circa 1945 Silver on Copper Butlers Tray Creamer Lidded Sugar & Teapot USA Metalware Tea Pot

Classically designed, simple and elegant are all wonderful words to describe this beautiful vintage tea set! Sheridan Silver Co. of Taunton, Massachusetts produced wonderful pieces from 1946 through 1973 when the company closed its doors. This particular set was quite possibly one of the earliest silver on copper sets produced - as it dates from between 1944 and 1950.....making it between 66 and 72 years old!

This set has some wonderful features....All the pieces are stamped Sheridan, the sugar bowl has the original lid, the teapot has a hinged lid (in excellent original condition) and heat diffusers on the handle. The minimal ornateness of the accented pattern brings out the clean sleek design.

NOTE: The set is being offered as acquired from an estate sale. I have not altered the look of the set with polishing or rubbing it out. Also, because the set has been used, there are minor blemishes and some wear in some spots (have more pictures upon request); but nothing too terrible. There are no dings, dents, deep scratches or repairs - it is in wonderful vintage condition!!

Measurements are: TRAY: 16-5/8" across (handle to handle), with a 12-3/4" diameter. TEAPOT: 10" tall (to the tip if the handle design), 8-3/4" at the widest point (spout tip to handle swirl design) and has a 5-1/2 cup capacity. CREAMER: 2-3/4" tall (without the handle arch) x 4-3/4" wide (spout tip to handle arch). SUGAR: 4-1/4" tall (to the tip of the lid knob) x 5-1/4" (handle arch to handle arch).
